In commemoration of the International day against Substance abuse, which takes place on the 26th June 2014; The Anti-Drug Forum together with Young star productions bring to you live, a spectacular Flash mob that aims to incorporate awareness against drug abuse within or communities. The Flash mob will take place on the 28th June 2014, at certain venues in Durban, including Ushaka and Chatsworth Centre.
Every day that goes by there are more and more children being lost to drugs, With this event We want to show our children and teenagers that there is so much more out there that can be done rather than getting involved in drugs, gangs and alcohol which will ruin their entire lives. You don’t need drugs to be cool.
The dancers from Youngstar productions will perform to dances choreographed by renowned dancer Gabriel Masango, and the soundtrack they will be dancing to is “Stop the Drugs”, a rap by the Traq Boys from Monterena Secondary School. There are many opportunities out there, a lot can be achieved, and there is a life behind drugs that our children need to see.
